Burlesque is also defined as the art of Teasing. And mastering the Teasing allows a performer to fulfill the art of seduction.

To tease means literally to make fun, but in a tender manner: playing around, mocking, provoking, seducing. Because it involves both the ironic and the sensual sides of Burlesque.

But Teasing also indicates the way a performer plays with accessories and clothes, for example when she uses one glove that she has just taken off and she slides it along one leg, from the ankle up to the hip.

Or just simply caressing her arms or chest or legs to draw the attention on what will come next, like the removal of the gloves or the corset or the stockings.
