Corsets, underbust corsets and waist shapers are a must in Burlesque. Most of the outfits include this garment and performers enjoy removing it during the act in their game of seduction.

Perfomers can choose between a very simple model of garter belt/suspenders, or a more refined model, with lace, satin, fringes and other decorations. Garters can also be attached to an old-style culotte or to a guêpière, or even to a corset or underbust corset.

Depending on the kind of act, also hats can be part of the outfit: either a gentlemen’s black hat, or a classic hat covered with sequins, or even those so refined veils. Performers can play with their hat and use it as part of the choreography.

Other useful accessories are umbrellas and those elegant black canes often used also in cabaret and tip tap. But performers also add grace and a retro style to their performances using flowers, a giant powder puff or a feather duster, if for example they pretend to be a maid.
