A choreography can also contain floor routines.
For a part of the act the performer can be on her knees, sit or lay on the floor. For example when doing the stocking peel, or just for some specific routines which are required by the choreography and to impersonate the character.
Students in classes usually love doing the “floor work” but the hardest part is to go down, and then to stand up, in an way that doesn’t make them look clumsy and inelegant.
A good teacher can show them how to do it in a fluid and elegant way…
